My brother Rob's 10 point which scores 139+ Pope and Young
He called it in with one of my grunt tubes

I lost one of my best friends this year. It has been a few months since his passing and it is still hard for me to believe. He and I hunted and shared times and stories for well over 30 years. I had the privilege of being invited into his home each spring for our yearly turkey hunt. He was the best friend a person could want. We spent hours upon hours combing the mountain near his home to hear a gobble or find the elusive (to me anyway) morel mushroom. We laughed a lot and we teamed up on many a gobbler and most certainly educated just as many. In the beginning of our friendship it seemed he would be shy while we were hunting not wanting to make any calls and always asking me what I thought we should do. As time went by and he grew more confident I hardly ever got to call at all. He made me a better hunter and no matter what we would get up each morning and even it it was raining we would go out and sit in the blind up in his field calling and waiting for one to come looking for that hen. It worked on more than one occasion too. He and his wife would always make fun of me coming back after an unsuccessful hunt, which meant we spent most of the time looking for morels, teasing me for not finding any or just very few. Bruce always shared his bounty of morels with me no matter how blind I was at finding them. He, his wife and son made me feel like part of the family while I was there and always encouraged me to stop by any time to visit. Bruce I will miss you always.

A tribute to "Uncle Jess". I have just lost my Uncle to cancer. He battled it fiercely for longer than anyone should have to suffer. I can not even begin to recount the hours I spent in his drive as a boy helping with his beloved VW bugs. We (my cousins and I) would listen to his funny stories about hunting, fishing and his boyhood and then he would take us fishing. I never laughed as much as I did when I listened to his stories and how he recalled them in such a humorous fashion. Thank you Uncle. I will remember you always with a smile and a chuckle.

Welcome to Dave's hunting page. Stop back again I change things around regularly. Okay! So it has been awhile since my last update! I have a friend that I want to introduce to the internet world. He is my new hunting buddy and I hope he grows to enjoy the sport as much as I have. Just look at the smile on his face and I'm sure I've planted a seed for many hunting trips to come. Meet my nephew Mark here with me ready to go look for some squirrels.

Look at that smile! This is my niece Kaitlyn with her very FIRST deer!

We as hunters should work hard to ensure the future of our sport. Take a friend or youngster hunting. Here are Mark and I preparing for an archery hunt.

Teach friends and youngsters safe gun handling practices. Emphasize to children to
NEVER touch a gun! I would like to pay homage to some of the fine people that have enriched my days afield and endeared the sport of hunting to me. These friendships form a tight bond between us. My father who took the time to take a young boy and teach him to hunt safely (actually it was 3 boys), my brothers Rob and Mark who I find myself in the frequent company, Rick who took up turkey hunting with me so many years ago, Bruce and Bob my turkey hunting mentors, Uncle Bill the original turkey hunter, Uncle Bob whose subtle lessons I've been learning all my life, Randy, Buddy, Sean, Zack and Mike all have added to my times afield.

Listen to my calls on both my turkey hunting pages and my deer hunting page. I make and sell these calls so if you're interested e-mail me. I have added a page about my calls so check them out or e-mail me. Thank you for visiting and do come for a visit again.

My This is the first deer season without dad. I will miss his stories and enthusiasm toward the tradition of deer season in Pennsylvania and the gathering of family and friends!
